Default Truck stalls

I have a 1999 Dodge Ram 1500 5.9 The truck Randomly stalls. While Driving and while idling. the gauges all go dead and no bus appears on the odometer. Also the Fuse box under the hood makes a clicking sound. The guy i purchased the truck from said he has put a new ecm in it. Is there a way to tell? Or can someone point me in the right direction hear? Can a bad fuse box make no bus appear?

No Bus means the cluster has lost communication with the PCM. Unfortunately, there are a LOT of possible causes... Will the truck start right back up when it dies?

It has crunk up right after before but recently no it will not just turn over and I can go outside of the truck wiggle the plug closest to the driver side on the pcm and it will crank up seems like it turns the fuel pump on because every time it shuts off the fuel gauge is dead

You could grab one from the yard, providing you can find one...... (has to be 99 though, I think to much changed on either side of that.) And you will have to have it flashed to your vin if you want ABS and Airbags to work right. (at all.....)

98 was kind of an odd year, with some serious mid-year changes..... 2000 changed sensor values for the trans..... so, to be safe, you need the 99 PCM, with the same engine/trans that you have in your truck. (could conceivably have it flashed if only the engine is different.....) but, you will have to get it flashed to the correct VIN, in order for ABS, and SRS to work.
