Didn't they change the gender of the fuel line fitting at some point??? I seem to remember something along those lines.

That's why he pulls the flex line. I will say though the 96 fuel rail (remember I chrome plated it) fit my 01 just fine

Then you need to find one specifically for your year as connections changed throughout the years

Default pin hole in fuel line between the injector rails

Guys this is my first time replying to problem.
I just repaired my 2001 Dodge Ram. It had a pin hole leak in the fuel hose between the injector rails.
Was able to cut the hose and splice it back with Dorman nylon press fit union. Repair splice for fuel injector hose. I purchased from Advanced auto parts.
I had to peel back the rubber to expose the nylon to slip it into the fitting. It's working with no leaks.
I'm happy with the repair. It was quick and easy.

What do you need help with? I believe there are like 3 different versions of the fuel rail. What do you have?

Thanks so much for sharing this. I recently pulled my engine as a long block (I usually do short block pulls it's much easier) and I foolishly left the fuel rails on and the chain popped a hole in my hose. Gonna use some high pressure injector hose and some nice clamps and go the same route you did. Thank you soooo much again seriously this saves me so much time.
