Its not a "normal" cable, the other end pigtails to off to connect to the positive battery terminal and then off to a harness under the power distribution fuse box..

Hhhhmmmm..... My 96 didn't look like that...... But, it's not like dodge never changed anything.....

You may have to custom make one.... could try the parts store... I doubt they would have it in stock, but, they might at least be able to show you a picture.

Yeah.. Was hoping to avoid that. Its gonna require some splicing and dicing if that's the route I go. Thanks for the input though.

I used a dual terminal battery to solve the issue on top. Just make new cables, you don't need that connector for the bottom.

Here's the replacement

Weird.. LOl, I mean I just got a new battery, is that something you can put on the battery or? Yours looks so much different then mine. I've got this harness that goes under the power distribution fuse box.. the wire from the starter goes directly to this harness and plugs in under the power distribution fuse box- i guess thats the part I'm struggling with.
Harness from starter to under power distr. fuse box.

Does that wire go to the small terminal in the first picture?

Yes, the grey-ish wiring harness pictured has one wire (the black) going to the small terminal on the starter motor under the truck, and the other one from the harness pictured goes to the positive terminal on the battery. The grey-ish wiring harness plugs into a female piece under the power distr. box in picture #3, labeled "What is this?"- I'm not sure of its name, but I believe its been referred to as the "ignition to starter harness" or something like that.
