For the fan, I just put an adjustable wrench on it, and smack it with a hammer. Usually breaks it loose after a swing or three, then, it just threads off by hand.

If you are removing the harmonic balancer, you want the jaw-type gear puller. Insert the jaws into the openings near the hub. If you try and pull it using the outer diameter of the balancer, you can easily damage it.

I've taken some pictures of the tool, it was bought to remove axles hubs.. it looks verry similair as one of the correct tools, but i'm not sure if it'll bolt on.. what you guys think?

Anything on the balancer to screw the bolts into??
