Hunter Kesler: You say when the motor is disconnected the window travels the path of the regulator. Is the motor functioning when activated after being disconnected from the regulator? If it is, then the issue is in the motor gear setup. Note the three plugs in this eBay image. Those disintegrate over time, but I don't know if the Dodge motors have them.
Also, is the problem when the window is operated from the driver's door, passenger's door, or both?

The OP needs to locate the actual problem rather than blindly swapping parts.
It's up to him as to what to do, but from what he described something is wrong with the regulator assembly.
Yes, he can throw 20 dollars at a part plus his labor and maybe that will fix it, maybe it won't,
or he can switch out the regulator assembly for 50 dollars and have it all brand new with a warranty.
Ultimately it's his call.

He didn't say that.
He already answered that question.
I was only trying to help by suggesting a part.

It should be diagnosed before money spent on the repair. All too often, people visit this (and many other) forums with a laundry list of items replaced that didn't fix a problem which, it turns out, was not properly diagnosed.
