Default Can of worms....

Alright, this truck is an electical nightmare. I’ve got the radio subs and speakers working and got rid of no bus and air bag issues thanks to HeyYou for commenting the link to service manuals. Now this issue is the passenger side window won’t roll down with either switch, drivers side door won’t lock or unlock with switch or key fob, only passenger door unlocks with fob and passenger side switch. Where to start, what to look for, pretty sure radio and locks aren’t related in wiring, any info would be great. Starting with new door switches to see what happens...

I'm actually having the same problem on my truck and it'd be lovely if simply a new switch could fix it...I tried a new fuse in the dash for my electric locks but that didn't even fix it....neither door can electric lock/unlock, only the driver door can roll down its window along with the passenger.....the passenger whole door switch assembly is literally useless lol. I also debated sitting down and hooking up a stereo correctly, previous owners cannibalized the factory harness and bootleg hooked up two decent speakers behind the seat, they're each wired up to the FRONT speakers' factory wire, not sure if that'd matter much for sound quality instead of them being in the back speakers' wire, and I'd have to find a way to ground everything myself....a pic would probably do way better than I could describe. In the meantime I've actually just been using a decent bluetooth speaker that accepts an sd card for music while driving.

I found the stereo hookup setup on these trucks a bit more involved than previous vehicles, a 3rd gen firebird, 2001 mustang, and 01 nissan sentra, on those they just required a single harness adapter plug, on the ram, it takes two, PLUS aftermarket harnesses often don't include a ground so you have to ground it yourself. I'm a bit wary too because who knows on my old one if hooking a stereo up would introduce some hibernating parasitic draw, maybe that's why the old people hacked up the wires to begin with lol. Good luck in your search too, I'd be happy with just working electric locks

Two separate issues.

For the window, check and see if you are getting power/ground for the motor. (at the motor.....) If the master switch is bad, the slave switch (passenger door) won't work either.

For the lock, do you hear the motor run?

i hear the passenger door lock run, it unlocks and locks. The drivers side does nothing, it all worked before the speakers came to life and I cut out an unused aftermarket amp.

Also check and see if you are getting power to the lock then. Wonder if you removed some wrong wires, or, it simply came unplugged.

i did pull some aftermarket wiring out of the door that was connected to the speakers. Thinking now that I might have rubbed on something in the door to door jamb grommet. Will pull grommet and post my findings.

Clean connections before condemning the coil out of hand.

Check the connections for power to/from the coil. Not just the high voltage side.
