01 Ram 4x4 leaking front diff fluid out of new axle seal
I've seen this exact problem, and it's a fairly easy fix. Did you put some sealant on the seal around the axle mating surface n then pound her home? Try n pin point the leak, I'll just bet it's coming from the seal to axle mating surface. If it is, clean the area n smear some on the mating area. This should cure it unless the seal is damaged or the axle shaft is worn out where it mates to the seal.
if it is still leaking after installing 2 seals id guess the axle shaft is worn where the seal rides. Maybe try and move the seal slightly from where it should be. I know there is not alot of room on the passenger side but leaving the seal 1/8" from fully seated may help. This way the seal rides on a new section of the axle shaft.
Or try and find a seal that goes on the outer end of the axle tube. While this wouldn't be ideal it would work. Just like jeeps have. You will need the inner axle tube dimension and the axle shaft diameter, then check this web site for a seal that will work.

And that would be why it won't seal. You can check around, and see if anyone offers a 'repair', or 'offset' seal..... that just moves the sealing lip one direction or the other a bit, so the seal rides in a different spot on the axle. Otherwise, need to replace that bit of axle.
I pulled a shaft from the yard. Cane from a 96. The yard manager said something about 3 different gear ratios for that generation. I’m assuming that is for the driver side as that shaft goes right into the pumpkin. So my question is, will a 1996 axle shaft work in my 2001?
