Splash Guards/Mud Flaps
Who here has splash Guards/Mud Flaps on their truck?
I'm looking to replace the ugly rectanglular pieces of rubber that are on the truck right now. Sadly, I have to replace the fender liners too, but that will come later. Anyway, I was wondering what others had on their truck and how they looked. I had looked at the Mopar molded guards, but they don't look very long. My primary concern is protecting my paint and the front of my side step.
These are the two sets I was looking at:

I'm leaning more towards the powerflows at the moment, but I can't find pictures of either of them on an actual RAM. [:'(]

I want to get a set too, but I don't prefer the type in rom's links because of plowing snow I think they would crack or break off if i catch a drift. Somebody out there has to have some good looking flaps, let's see em.[sm=ttiwwp.gif]
I saw some on ebay a while ago, but they looked kind of cheesy. Have you thought about doing a short term fix until you get an integrated fender liner. Might have to replace the new ones if they don't match up right anyway. I've been thinking about getting some cheap ones at Wal-Mart or Pep Boys for that reason - easy to replace and did I mention cheap?? Plus you might be able to find those ultra cool Yosemite Sam ones there too.....
Major thread bump, but does anyone know of any like thin mudflaps? Similar to the ones on toyota trucks? That are closer to actual flaps... I like those better, and I think they'd be better up here for the 6 months of snow...
Count me in as one who has thought about puttting mud flaps on my truck but dont want those long ugly ones hanging down. If i could find something that just hangs a bit that would be cool. I've seen some brands at autozone (forget the name) but dont like the length. One thought that did cross my mind was to buy a pair of flaps, much like the Splash Guard brand and cut off the end using that ridge as a guide. I think that would be a perfect length but I dont have a bandsaw, though I guess clamping them down to a saw horse or sething and using a jig saw might work. Anyone wanna get creative?
Hey guys its been awhile, But yea I have the bushwacker fender flares, If you look in my album you can see the before and after and decide for yourself weather or not you like them. I know there not Flaps but Its an alternative Hope this helps
