Default 97 ram code 43

Hi, been chasing a code 43, more specifically, P0306-Powertrain cylinder 6 misfire detected and P0300 - Powertrain random/multiple cylinder misfire detected.

I pull all the plugs yesterday and installed autolite 3924's copper. It had the platinum autolites and all looked clean. Truck seemed the same after install, no real difference. I do notice hesitation at idle, and have smelled fuel after start up on occasion since the check engine light came on. I'm also using 8mm wires which all look good. truck seems to drive fine, good pickup w/o hesitation.

Wondering what else to test, ie. fuel pressure will be a PITA, it's a plastic fuel rail w/ no test port, I do have an after market I can put in line to test. Also wondering if this could be the ignition coil?? I replaced the cap/hep/and rotor about 3k miles ago.

thoughts?
thanks...

97s have a wonky plastic fuel rail that doesn't have a test port. It's a poor design that was thankfully only used for that year.

The crank sensor does double duty here I believe. It also records misfires, AND as a bonus, it can cause misfires (or so I hear) if it's a replacement sensor and not mopar in origin. Also possible it's bad gas. Let her run thru the tank n fill her back up again.
