I was wondeewon if there's any trick to get these fenders to sit properly...? I bought two aftermarket fender quarter panels one RH and one LH for 2001 Dodge 2500. Took the spot welds out and removed the inner fender and got it spot welder back together. But itsi not sitting good on the truck. The one side is ninior but the drivers side is really noticeable and the door runs against the inner part of the fender by the door quite a bit to scuff but no binding. Did I just get a ****ty pair of fenders or did they autobody place hot spot weld them on or is there an adjustment I can do to move it forward a bit...? Also the hood noysittint well but I need a new hood anyways but for adjustments on that is it jatj the hood hinges.
I don't know the full specs on any of it. I'm mechanically inclined but body work is forienfand I'm doing this on a low budget.
I guess I can't see well enough to notice anything wrong in your pictures. Everything looks in place. Show us pics of the fenders with the hood down and door closed. Hard to tell what's wrong with those open. I'm also not good at body work, I just want to have visual of what you're talking about
it is the nature of aftermarket sheetmetal. there is always some tweaking to be done. if possible i would go hunt originals down at local pick your part. OEM will fit better and they really should not be too hard to find if you are in a big metro area.
Yes, original is best. Otherwise look for Capa certified. I can't find it online, but body shops are using Keystone Platinum Plus. It's supposed to have excellent fit. Cheap aftermarket can take many hours to get the fit correct.
Well then I guess I have to tweak. I'm on a low budget and I already got them paid for and welded on. Should of known better to not buy aftermarket **** never ev to works out for me.

X2!!! Impossible to see with them open and the third gen bumper doesn't help either. You may have to elongate some of the fender mounting holes and use fender washers to get it to sit right.
Those Made in Taiwan fenders are junk. I bought one years ago, fitment was ok, I really didn't mind because I cut off section at the back of the fender (down from the body molding) to fit bigger tires.
Last winter, big rig gave low speed hit to the fender, just above the headlight and corner lamp smashing them and giving big dent to fender. When I tried to pull it up with a dent puller (the one that welds the tool to metal and you use the slide hammer to pull it up) and found out how thin that metal actually is!! Now fender looks like a fakken cheese grater because that tool ripped holes to that thin metal! Too bad I throw away the original fender, I could've cut piece out of it, and weld it on to dented fender.
