Pump, can you post a pic of the gasket? your current method sounds like a better option than the mopar one with rtv... I could be convinced to switch if I can see what it looks like... (looking to fix the truck this weekend)

The felpro gasket is what I used a few months back when I did my plenum. If I remember right it cost me less than $20. I have checked my plenum about once a moth since the change and have yet to see any oil so it looks to be holding up rpetty well.

the mopar one lasted about 6~8 weeks. and from what I can tell, failed all of a sudden (started leaking) started pinging so bad I had to pull over and yank the IAT plug to richen it up. (that works btw)

It costs $16 for the upper manifold gaskets and the plenum pan gasket in a set at autozone. I hope these pics came out good enough...I tried to compare it next to the mopar metal gasket so you could see the difference in a couple of pics. I think the fel pro is thick enough to seal off imperfections on the surfaces. I will let you know how it goes. Let me know if you need anything else.

Awesome, thanks... I'm thinking i'm gonna go with the felpro and return the mopar one. the felpro kit included the upper manifold gaskets as well? sounds like a much better deal than the Napa kit. the gasket they included was paper.
