Default Reset of PCM

I have performed a reset of PCM after changing plug wires. Before that I had a code of P0601. Truck will not start now but will turn over. Any ideas. My thought is I will have to get a new PCM? Any ideas! 1997 Ram SLT 5.9 magnum

601 code indicates an internal failure in the PCM.......

Why did you perform a "reset" of the PCM just because you changed plugs? What exactly did you do to reset the PCM? Changing plugs does not require any sort of reset of anything. "Scanner has password 2000"? What does that mean?

A code P0601 in most cases means the PCM has gone bad. This is possibly due to a short-circuit inside the PCM. Or, if you disconnect the wires/connector from the PCM while the battery is still connected, that may also cause this code.

+1 - the PCM likely just took a dump. Sounds like its time to replace it. I once performed a bad flash to my PCM using an SCT box. After the bad flash of my PCM, the starter would turn over, but the truck would not start. I replaced the PCM with a used unit off eBay and the truck fired right up.
