Default Swapping a 1/2 ton to a 3/4 ton

Hey guys was just wondering if a 241 DLD transfer case will bolt up to a nv3500?

Probably. I think the bolt patter is the same, along with the output shaft of the trans. Only problem you might run into, the 241 is a bit longer, so, may need a shorter driveshaft.

I'm gonna have to do drive shaft work anyway. I'm swapping 3/4 ton front and rear ends from a single cab long box into a single cab short box. The engine and tranny in the 3/4 are tired but it has the 4 10 gears that I need in the 1/2 ton. So I may need to move spring perches as well.

Half ton truck use 2.5 inch springs, 3/4 ton use 3" springs. Need to change either the perches on the axle, or, the mounts on the frame. Think I would change the mounts, and use the 3/4 ton springs as well.

I guess if I'm going to this extent might as well keep the 3/4 ton springs too. I knew they were narrower but I was just taking one step out. Ha

What year is your truck, and what year is the donor? There are some other differences as well.

Donor is a 95 my truck is a 96
