flushed heater core and it was clean. But then filed with coolant through return hose while holding return hose up high. Plugged off other end at water pump. Heat is now much better. Although it still has a little coolant smell but no visible leaks in cab

Default Dome light!!

Does anyone know the color wire and location for the dome lights? Trying to hook it up to my bulldog remote start/keyless entry so they come on when i unlock doors. I have everything else hooked up. Bulldog website says a yellow wire in drivers kick panel. There is a yellow wire with a stripe, but it does not show ground with dome lights on. I do believe it is a negative output. There is a white wire from door switch but i tried grounding it and no dome lights. Any help would be appreciated. 01 dodge ram 1500 laramine.

Grab the service manual for your truck from here. Wiring diagrams are in section 8W.

Wow, the dome lamp circuit is REALLY complicated. Seems the door switches just suggest to the CTM that it turns on the light.... On the drivers door, should be a two wire connector, tan comes from the CTM, Black with lite green trace is ground. Switch completes the circuit.
