You can get an input shaft for around $100 from quad 4x4.

An np231 or np241 that has the correct spline input shaft.

Both of them SHOULD work. Dodge used both behind the 46RE over the years, half ton trucks got the 231, heavier trucks get the 241. There are HD, and LD versions of each, but, the only difference between them is the width of the chain. Something else has to be going on there for why the t-case won't go on all the way.

Were your t-cases from manual trucks by any chance? Do you still have your original t-case?

Wonder if you need to change the input hub on the t-case? Could you go to the junkyard, and see if there is a difference between the t-cases you have, and those that came off a 46?

Yea not a bad idea won't hurt everyone says it should bolt right on I even unbolted the tranny and tried putting them together on the floor still can't figure out crap other than tail end shaft a 1/2inch to long and it shouldn't be frustrated truck only transportation I have for my two girls and I been down dealing with this for over a week missed work days it's a mess thing I better try to fix 42 if possible signal father with a blown budget
