Default brake rotor confusion

Please somebody help me . I just bought a 1994 dodge 2500 hd v10 4x4 161000 it has a dana 60 front axle and a dan a 70 rear. I have ordered a rotor and pad kit from rockauto and when other came in they were to big for my calipers pads fit great but wouldn't go on the rotor the minimum thickness on the rotor on my truck is 30.86 the minimum thickness on the new rotors is 37.86 so I ordered a set from a different supplier same thing to big I'm stumped any help would be great please

They are probably giving you brakes for the newer 3/4 tons, that had dual piston calipers. You may need to get pads/rotors for the LD 3/4 ton.

Did you look up your GVW on the door? They list two rotors for the 2500 one 7500 and the other 8800.

With the V-10, it is highly unlikely to be the 7500lb gvw. (yeah, I thought about that too.) That said, on my 96 8800lb gvw 2500, calipers, hoses, etc, were the same as those used on the 7500lb gvw trucks.

You have ordered 8800 GVW rotors, but your truck has 7500 GVW rotors, which are thinner. I just looked up from rockauto, under 1994 2500 V10, and cross referenced 7500 and 8800 rotors.

Default Finally straightened out

Thanks for all the ideas and help but at the end of it all this is what it was ...lol the truck had been wrecked before I bought it in the repair process a light duty rotor and calipers were sourced from a donor truck and installed while original heavy duty parts were left on the drivers side. Replaced the driver side to match til these new rotors wear out.

They probably put on the 7500 brake parts. The rotor diameter is the same but the difference is in the width.

Things that go on at repair shops these days keep pushing me to repair my own vehicles.
