was wondering if a 2000 V6 4.3 2 wheel drive Dodge Ram transmission will fit into a Dodge 1996 5.2 V* 2 wheel drive transmission need to replace the tranny in the 1996 was wondering if they are interchangeable

 

I have a 1996 Dodge ram pickup with a 5.2 V8 2 wheel drive it needs a new transmission will a transmission from a 2000 V6 4.3 Dodge Ram interchange with it

 

Nope. Won't work. The 2000 trans the electronics are different, and not compatible with the older systems. That could be dealt with, however, the 2000 trans won't have a provision for the vehicle speed sensor, at all. And that is the show stopper.
