Is it worth it to get headers on my 01?

As previously mentioned, if you use long tube headers you'll also have to get the rest of the system built behind them.
I never had any leakage, but I used high quality gaskets.

I disagree I notice a sight improve with headers. If you get a tune it will unlock a little more. Just use high quality gaskets not the ones that come with the headers

Alright sweet, I'll make sure I grab some decent gaskets then. If I get a tune that means gotta put higher quality gas in?

Remflex gaskets please. Dead soft aluminum, or copper. Very reliable.

Most tuners come with a few different tunes, rated by octane of the gas they want. Even the 87 octane tune will help.

Yeah same, it was 2.99 for 87 in September now it's 2.71 per gallon. So a little better, 91 isn't even available on most of the pumps in my area

I'd read up on header design, and where they work - rpm range. If it were me, I'd just get replacement magnum exhaust manifold. Headers are a pain (leak, rust, fitment issues), and if the performance value is nothing significant, why spend the extra cash and have to deal with the problems?
