Default 2nd gen performance

Any recommendations on electric fans for my 2nd gen Ram?

There's a write up in the tech DIY section, but it's pretty custom what he did. I have read about people using Dakota fans or just generic and doing their own wiring.

Yeah, Ford Taurus fans are about the right size, and move enough air. Just gotta wire it up.

Why, the clutch fan is more reliable and pulls more air, the slight bit of extra HP you get from switching to electric isn't worth it in my opinion. I am not sure about the Rams but in the Jeeps many people have had issues with it running hot after switching to electric fans.

Gotta have enough fan for the job at hand. Most folks that I have seen having overheating issues after the conversion, simply didn't use a mean enough fan for the job.

switching to electric isn't worth it in my opinion.
I would have to agree if it's horsepower you are after. But if you still want an electric fan check out flexalite
This is like the one i have it will fit the width of out rams radiator perfect but it leaves a few inches at the top/bottom and it flows 5500 CFM of air.

I have dual e-fans, and even with one disconnected it wont run hot.... and my a/c is cooler.
So any complaints about overheating because of an e-fan installation cries poor equipment selection/setup.

Honestly l wanna get the electric fan since they clear up a lot of space in the engine bay easier to work on without that big fan shroud
