Okay . How do I go about doing this when it goes to the wiring. Do I keep the current CTM wires and add new ones for the white connector?

Looking at the diagram the Bus wires should go straight to it and only use the ctm if you have the factory alarm. Check the CCD +/- wires from the pcm to the joint connector and then to the overhead console.

Is this the wire diagram with the CTM with one plug or 2 plugs? My truck doesn't have a key fob security system, so does that mean that mine doesn't need a different CTM?

you would be correct the only time you need the 2 plug ctm is if you have the alarm system just to be sure tonight I'm going to see what the ctm controls. But if it is saying "No Bus" then that means those wires in the diagram are bad somewhere or the console itself

I'm going ahead to buy a second wire harness for the overhead console. Whether the connector is unplugged or plugged in it still won't dim.

That tells me that it has to be the cab harness that runs to he console.

Is there anything else that controls the dimming to the console? I don't think so but I don't know for sure.
