Air Only Flows From Defrost Vents
Had the heater core changed about 4 months ago. At first all was well (it was winter so I never changed much to the front vends ir AC). After about 2 month I noticed that when I changed from vent to defrost or floor it would take a few turns to actually engage and work. Now everything is stuck only on the defrost vents.
Also, I’m sure it could be related, the 4x4 will no longer engage. I pulled it into 4H and it never engaged, even when fully stopped and “feathering” the throttle.
Is this more a check valve, tube or a disconnected vacuum tube?
I would hate to have to pull off the dash just to check the vacuum tube if it’s somerhing simpilar to check.

I can’t see the dash side poking through the FW at all. Which to me indicates it’s flush or back further into the dash area. I was going to poke around and see if I could find and pull it through (not pulling too hard) then possibly attached a larger hose around it, clamp it and see if that fixes it.
If if I can’t find it, I’m afraid the only option is to pull the dash

that feeds the Vacuum controls you might be able to remove the glue box and find it. One thing I liked about my old Durango (God rest her soul) it was right by the gas pedal really easy to fix.
