Default Clunk noise while driving?

Hi guys, I have a problem with my 2001 Dodge Ram 1500, with the 5.2 Magnum in it. My problem is while I'm driving I tend to feel a big clunk once in a while. It usually is when I'm going 40 mph and above, never below. While driving I'm at a steady rpm and out of no where a big clunk will sound off and it never drags the rpm down or anything else. It has been more recent and I would like to get it fix. Im sure its a transmission issue, due to it not affecting the engine's rpm while driving. Looking for help if anyone knows of the problem. Thank

I have seen a video of that. The clunking that is. I hear the U joints are major PIA to replace. Lots of beating.

Bigger hammer makes it easier.

Does the clunking happen on what kind of road surface? On two wheel drive or four wheel drive?

Nah, just a couple of correct size sockets and a moderately sized hammer is all you need. After you've done it few times it's easy. But first time takes some practice to get used to method

The clunking happens on just normal paved asphalt road, but as said before it only happens when going 40 mph and above. I’ll have to check the u joints. But I’m pretty sure it only does it at 4th gear, but weird things is rpm doesn’t drop at... 🤔
