door speaker wiring help needed.

Default door speaker wiring help needed.

i have looked for info on this but its confusing...all the info i have found the door speaker harness have more wire the mine...the door speaker amps have been cut off and the harness plus is left... pass side door speaker harness wire color are ltblu/blk...blk/rd,,,, dk/blu,,,ltblu/rd,,,blk/pur,,,violet..... driverside is,,,,y/blk,,,blk/rd,,,bro,,,y/rd...blk.,,,green. these are factory wires from the door speaker harness there is 6 wires on each door speaker harness,,,thanks for any help,

Grab the 98 service manual from here. Wiring diagrams you are looking for are on page 8W-47-6.

thanks i found the page...looks like two of the 6 wires goto the front speakers, and two went to the tweeters and one goes to the choke relay, and one to ground.....but from what i can tell the rear speakers come straight from the radio, can you tell if this is correct,,, if not any ideas.

Apparently, the rears are the same on the standard, and premium sound systems.... those wiring diagrams are on page 8W-47-4. The connector will be at the back of the radio.

That is correct. What you guys are calling the AMP is actually a crossover for the tweeter. Since the rears don't have tweeters you don't need the crossover

I have the same thing going on here this is the oem harness running into the door.

Just wondering what colours you ended up matching together. This is the speaker end of the harness. And I’m installing new aftermarket speakers. Just needing to know what colour of wires you had going to the speaker and then what colours you had to join together.
