Where is the front axle harness vacuum supply location?
(2000 2500HD with 5.9 GAS w/ manual trans).
On the passenger side of the intake plenum there is ONE port and it has a plug on it from the previous owner. The 4WD, cruise control, and heater/AC do not work. From looking at pictures I can find it appears all this plugged into that one port? Yes?
Thanks, I saw that diagram before. I assumed that it connected to that port along with the cruise control, and HVAC controls. But I didn't want to assume that. Also, that pic shows TWO ports on that side and I wondered if I have 1. a different year intake on my 2000 truck OR 2. there are different intakes for the various models with in that year.
in any case, it looks like I need that entire chain tubing with the various elbows and y connections. I can't see to find that in stock any where. Every place I have seen has "no longer available" listed.
Any suggestions on a vender who can sell the entire vacuum assembly?
PosiLoc from vacuum to cable operation. My vacuum works on the front but I'm installing this one for Shi%s&Giggles. This one has brass (my preference) instead of plastic threads and has a nice heavy duty quality, except for the mounting cover which has a lot of porous material still fits form and function. The price, I gambled on this unit for S&G and I'm not disappointed. https://www.ebay.com/itm/385646716604
This doesn't fit the topic to much, just an option. With it not working for the 3 it's probably a loose or rotted vacuum connection. Hear any whistling, have poor performance?
Do you have a vacuum tester? Should be around 18-20 for reading a normal vacuum system.

If I hadn't just purchased and all new vacuum line kit for the 4wd I would have tried that, lol. I was installing it last night and could only guess where the top connect to vacuum. All the other plastic hard lines are broken on this vehicle. 100% of the plastic hard lines (most are missing) are just zip tied in a bundle to the fire wall attached to nothing. Sigh.
I've done the where do these 10 vacuum lines or wires go on other vehicles from the 70s & 80s and some of the newer cars.
You're showing CAD to t-case. He's asking t-case vac switch to firewall.
I recently ran the new harness on our '02 2500 but I don't remember EXACTLY what it connected to, plus a CTD is gonna be a wee bit different as diesels exhibit just slightly different vacuum characteristics
Thanks PR1AWRet, those are some great pictures but Keith is right. I'm going to run it to the plugged port on the kegger intake plugged port directly. After I get all the HVAC and cruise control lines run, I'll t into that same port.
