Default gearshift lever worn out?

Hello to all.

dodge ram 99 2500 diesel automatic.

The gearshift lever feels like it could slip when i engage it. Wondering if its worn out and needs replaced?
If so, could you point me to a decent replacement part.

Thanks. J

If you are talking about the 4wd lever, I think there are just bushings you replace

I know you can adjust it but again I think it's just bushings. I can say I never did anything with them so someone who has will chime in

It's not loose but seems like it could slide from eg neutral to drive. Noticed it over the winter. It engages all functions. Usually it's pull lever and engage function I noticed it can slide between functions.

Yeah, prolly just the bushings in the linkage. Crawl under, and wiggle things around. See what you see. Pretty sure the bushings are available at most any parts store.
