Factory 7 wire trailer plug
Ok wasnt sure if complete assembly was available somwhere so i could just plug it in and go also need to find a controller and proper wiring to plug into ruck as my mechanic says it has factory trailer wiring
There should be a four wire connector under the dash somewhere, (there's a pic in the service manual, get one from here.) assuming your truck came with the tow package.
The dealer may actually be able to get you the plug, with the harnesses....... Of course, they will want a pretty penny for it.

Would love to see a photo of what you are talking about here - does the 4th gen connector have the 7 pin setup (like the 2nd gen) and a 4 pin setup with it?

I had to do the same thing - the 7 pin connector I had went bad and I noticed that the 7 pin connector is a standard trailer connector available most anywhere, even at WalMart. It's very easy to wire, especially since you have the original connector to use as a guide.
