Loss of power
Hey there was wondering if anyone had any information that might help out. I've got a 98 ram 4x4 5.2l and when I got it I had to put a new ecm in it, ordered an ecm programmed for the trucks vin installed it and the truck ran, after I cut off the exhaust that was rotten just before the cat(between cat and manifolds) ever since the truck wont run right (no power Boggs down) I've changed plugs, wires, two fuel injectors and still nothing. I can drive well in reverse and and 4x4 low but nothing else. Does the truck have to have the full exhaust on it to run properly or is there maybe a transmission problem or possibly something else? Thanks

I havent replaced it with anything, was going to leave the exhaust off but if I have to have it I will get one, I put two new 02 sensors in and they're just hanging(not in any pipe) do I have to have the cat and everything installed with 02 sensors in pipe?

See if it runs better with the O2's disconnected..... Having the front O2 sensor just hanging is really going to confuse the PCM.... It is ALWAYS going to see far too much oxygen, so, it will dial back fuel accordingly...... which won't make a difference, so, it will dial it back even more.... etc.
