Any advice appreciated guys. My 97 water pump was leaking and temp gauge would go from 200 up to about 215 on hill climbs. I figured easy fix but can't get it solved. Replaced water pump, fan clutch, thermostat and flushed system and burped after refill. Also topped off transmission fluid. Still heats up on hills. Thoughts? Did not replace hoses since not leaking. Thanks!

On the outside...... You can't see the inside, and that's what really matters. Get an infra-red temp gun, get the truck fully warmed up, and then check temps in different areas of the radiator, it should start pretty friggin' warm on the inlet side (drivers) and cool off as you move toward the passenger side. Check several places side to side, at at least three different levels. See what your temps look like.
I would think it would be time for a flush out if it hasn't been done in the last 25k. Although a temporary mechanical gauge installation would confirm your reading.
