I'm heading out to the truck. I was studying up with the service manual during lunch. Read about camshaft sensor removal and it talked about making sure you get the paper spacer out of the mounting hole so it doesn't end up in the lubrication system? I haven't seen any paper spacer as of yet? After 214,000 miles, you think there's still a paper spacer in there?

The camshaft is sit n on the low spot now. Will rotate to high spot and hopefully this nightmare will be over!?

So I spun the engine to the high side of the cam and installed the new sensor. Engine started finally. But it barely runs? It has no acceleration and you have to floor the gas pedal to get it to start? Always something?

I pulled the dipstick and the oil looks suspect? Wonder if the cold blew a head gasket? This old girls days could be over? Gonna do a cheap oil change and see what happens?

It did not really smell like gas? The oil is more copper color then milky. Oil still has decent viscosity!

Here's one of the problems. Every time I check my oil, since Oct. The dipstick is sweating water down into the crankcase. It has rusty, milky oil on it every time I pull it out?

I wonder if another thing? When the temps dropped into the teens. I plugged the block heater in. Wonder if slowly heating up the crankcase making it sweat moisture into the oil?

Colder air holds less moisture......

Change your oil, see what it looks like.

Yep. You have coolant getting into the oil. Bad gasket somewhere. Could be intake, but, more likely headgasket..... and those heads weigh a friggin ton....... Start pulling spark plugs. Look for ones that are squeaky clean, those are likely the cylinders where the gasket has blown.
