This island is a total racquet! You pay them to crush a car and the Burrough pays the guy $100 for each one he crushes!

I just had the oil pan off mine when I did my timing chain. comes out pretty easy if you remove flywheel inspection plate and swing the rear of the pan to the passenger side, then straight out.

I was looking around a while back and found an all aluminum duel fan radiator that Griffin makes if you wanna drop $1,300.

That $198 for t-stat housing sounds pretty good right now, I've seen them for a lot more than that.

Oh, you can pull the pan out right after you unbolt the pick-up tube of course. It's easy to get to.

Default Ready for re-install

I'm about to put the heads back on. Should I roll the engine over to knock some rust off the cylinders first? Tried with the BFW! With the heads off you still can't turn this engine over?

On the head gaskets. Does the number go up? Like on the valve cover gaskets? There's blue and grey on one side and just all grey on the other.

DANG! These heads are a bit heavy!

The engine should turn fairly easily with the heads off....... I would at least hit the cylinders with some penetrant, and see if you could get it to turn.... You may have bigger fish to fry......

Well, let's just say moral is at an all time low with this project! I tried to turn it over when the heads and plugs were on and it was no go! Just like now.

Turn it over to the right?

Without head testing facilities on this island. I'm not holding my breath this works! However, $225 for gaskets is cheaper then a new truck! If the engine is fried. It will be time to grease the chain on the MTN bike and suck it up for a while!

The starter motor won't roll it over?

I'm sure it will. I first tried to roll it over with the BFW! Just like when this first went down! All it did was pick me up off the ground when I pulled on the BFW! So I will hook up the battery to use the starter this morning. Also, waiting for help to reinstall these 90# heads! Ughh!

It shouldn't take that much effort to roll over the motor with the heads off.......
