Probably cheaper to replace the entire truck, than it would be to replace the engine..... if you can even find one for a reasonable price......

I found a long block for 3 grand. Not sure what a set of heads would cost? If I have to change the engine. Might put a Cummins in it? My ex girlfriend had the same exact truck. But it was diesel. Or might just send it to the crusher? We'll see what the official diagnosis is once I pull these heads. Stand by.......

The manifold came off much easier then the heads! I read to use a block of wood and a hammer? There's no room to swing the hammer!? Any other suggestions?

Stick something that won't trash the intake port, into the port, and use it as a lever to get the head to break loose. Then you should be able to lift it off. (assuming you are Hercules....) Wooden hammer handle works good.

Used a wooden handled mallet. Used a jack handle with a rubber coating on it. Used a crow bar and a big screw driver and they didn't budge! I watched the motor mounts flex!?

Obviously didn't use the crow bar in the intake port! Used it on the side of the heads where the brackets bolt on. But didn't want to snap an ear off the head? Gonna have to get some help on this one?

Cloth and a BFH just don't hit it hard

That is the only way I know how to. I would have someone hold the wood and hit it with a Sledge
