Wheel bearing went out on my 1997 2wd , and I’m attempting to replace it. One of the races won’t come out. I’ve heated it, and beat it, tried a puller, but it won’t budge! I’m just before cutting it with a grinder. Anyone have any ideas?

Try taking a punch and put it up against the back, then hit it with a hammer
A grinder will work, but take great care not to damage the spindle or the threads on the spindle. I suspect that once you grind a slot (or two) into it, it should loosen up enough to beat it off with a punch and hammer.
Use a cut off wheel, slice it in two spots, and it will fall off. Make sure you clean the spindle REALLY well before putting things back together. Emery cloth would be the hot ticket.

Just dug out my die grinder and cutting wheels. Will try again in the morning. It’s now time for a hot shower and a cold beer!
