Remove and replace AC Compressor 99 1500
Usually, when you replace the compressor, it will tell you how much and what PAG to use. A couple I've done recently said the oil was already in the compressor. If you're opening the system, you ought to replace the receiver/dryer too as it can only absorb about a table spoon of moisture.
I don't use the recharge kits but rather a manifold gauge set so I can see the pressures. Pump it down and let it sit for a half hour to see if it holds vacuum. If it does, start using cans but the first one should have dye in it so if there's a leak later, you can see it.

You have the compressor oil (oil that lubricates the mechanical parts inside the compressor) and then the oil that gets mixed with the freon. Tell the guy that will charge the system for you what you replaced and he will fill it accordingly.
What is this electrical connector? I seemed to have snapped it at the base of the connector, at the top of the hex head. Gonna have to replace it. Passenger side, front corner of the plenum cover.
