Default Horn fuse blowing...help with source of problem?

2000 Ram 2500, blown horn fuse (has dual hi/lo horns).
Replaced horns (tested), fuse still blows.
Swapped relay, no help there.

There's a brief noise from the horns before the fuse blows, so I know there's continuity.
.
All that's left (that I can think of) is the horn switch...could this be the culprit, somehow grounding out and blowing the fuse?
Any other ideas?

Appreciate any help. Nearly got creamed by some jerk changing lanes without looking, gotta get this fixed...

Yup. Just about 100% it is the switch or clock spring.

Problem is between the horn and the relay. Switch grounds the relay pin 85, and fuse goes to pin 86 and 30, so there's no way that switch is the reason for fuse to blow.

Think I would be checking out the harness going to the horns, and see if it hasn't rubbed thru somewhere.

Stock horns? Have you tried just hooking up one? If you can get an amp probe you can see how much each horn is pulling.

We apparently don't work on the same types of electrical problems.
