Ive noticed that some people clean there IAC Valve by spraying it and gently brushing it with an old tooth brush then spraying it oft with carb cleaner before reinstallling. BUT some people unscrew the valve off completely take out spring, clean with a towel and screw back in valve after adding a few drops of 3m lube oil to where spring inserts. Is this a good idea? The proper cleaning?

I tried to clean mine and broke it. I recommend one from Mopar or Standard Motor Products. Not BWD, duralast or whatever oreilly sells. Make sure you clean inside the throttle body.

My truck is really running great finally! I replaced the air filter, spark plugs and spark plug wires. One of those did the trick! I later added 16 oz's of Sea Foam Motor Treatment to gas tank today also to see if anything happens as well. I figured it couldn't hurt.

Glad it's running good again. Seafoam is good stuff. You'll probably notice a difference after half the tank is burned.
