95 v10 with issues
Hello I'm new to the site and new to forums. I have a 95 ram3500 4x4 dually 8.0 v10 auto. When driving when it gets under a load it loses power check engine light comes on and it starts missing. Shut it off and restart and runs fine till next pull. Mil code 43. I have put 2 diff ecms one was rebuilt. Changed icm, coils, wires, cam and crank sensor. Checked all connections at coils asd and ecm. Had at a mechanic who said he scoped everything and all he could find was o2 sensor bad. I'm baffled with this. Truck has been In family for 12yrs and has 110000 miles on it. Any help would be appreciated.
Ever had the cats changed? Clogged cats is a very common issue with them. Both mine and my uncles plugged up before 100k miles. Mine were clogged when I bought it. Couldn't get above 72mph and felt like it was miss-firing. Lucky for me there was the sound of leaking air from the manifold while driving that pointed me straight to the problem.
The cats were removed about 7 yrs ago. Still got o2 sensors tho. When this truck acts up its dropping some cylinders or something cuz it wont run over 20mph. I've put a new fuel pump in it too. Got 40psi.
When I first got the shelby durango in my sig I had to replace the motor. I had a similar issue, no power above 3000rpm. Just flatlined and wouldnt rev any higher. It was a combination of a bad coil and bad crank sensor. Try and figure out which cylinders are acting up. You have 2 coils, one controls 4 cylinders and the other 6. If its just cylinders associated with one coil I would start there. If not start checking for vacuum leaks. If its 4wd there is a line that runs to the front axel that has a tendency to crack over time.

no missing or seemingly other issues associated with it. I just figured it was the connection from the air cleaner to the intake hose, missing it’s clamp and being a poor fit. The gasket and clamp on the air cleaner and TB are in good working order.
