Default PCV clicking constantly

I found that my PCV valve on the driver side of the engine (5.2v8) was constanly clicking and rattling so I figured it was bad. I replaced it and it continued to rattle so i replace the vacuum hose that goes from the side of the intake to the PCV since it was dry and cracked. I assumed that it was leaking vacuum and causing it to rattle but with a brand new hose and PCV is continues to rattle does anyone know anything about this.

I don't know for sure but since the pcv vents crankcase pressure from blowby would this mean you have extensive blowby / worn rings?

Get a mopar PCV if your not sure. Aftermarkets rattle, especially at idle. I put a mopar back into my beast n she's quiet all the time now.

Yes, be sure to have a Mopar PCV only. They may seem like a nothing part, but internally, the quality (or lack thereof) really shows.

PCV rattle is normal. Its a valve. It tries to keep a constant vacuum on the crank case, and it does that by varying the amount of vacuum applied. Thus, it rattles. Some are definitely louder than others..... But yeah, get the mopar PCV, they are actually the correct flow rate.

PCV for my truck was like 8 bucks at the dealer, and they had it on the shelf.
