You're probably in need of a new timing chain.

How come? I heard they do stretch out but runs really good for being an old truck that wasnt taken care of b4, when I left the MMO in overnight. I started the truck up and i could feel the difference in torque and throttle response right away.

So do you think I'd be better off having the timing chain done sooner instead of the headers being put on?

Yep, the chain stretches. Big time. On mine, with 180K+ miles on it, changing the timing chain was THE best performance improvement I did. It made a major difference in how it ran.

Had that done in November, was losing oil everytime I drove the truck. Now it's a little here and there.

It seems like the MMO is helping to reduce the consumption probably because of cleaning everything up and helping the engine work a lot easier.

Yeah, my chain was really loose at 150,000. It affects ignition and fuel injection timing. I'd do that first.
