Yes, they are fairly easy to change. Worst part is cleaning them up. I used Felpro gaskets on mine.

 

If you are feeling really ambitious, do the valve seals as well.

Yep, and considering their age, they probably aren't doing their job any more. (in fact, that has probably been the case for quite some time.) It's tedious, and time consuming, but, not a difficult job.

 

Alright I dont think any of this stuff has been touched so maybe will just do one side at a time because I'm sure it's gonna be a pain taking everything apart.

Oh also, I was looking for the valve cover bolts. I couldn't find an exact fit item on Advance auto. They have ARP bolts and a bunch of other ones, is there a recommendation for the bolts or a place where I can pick up the factory ones local?

Alright 👍 I thought I might ask as well, would a wire brush be a good option to clean the surface for the new gasket? So I dont damage the surface? Picked up the gaskets and the valve stem seals today now just gotta get the bolts.
