Do you have a picture of the broken part? That circled part is rear band lever and piston.

That's the key dance, Depending on the year of your truck you can get codes that way.

well you see I’m not sure if it’s a shim or honestly what it is, it just looks like a little spaced to make full coverage on the spring.

There should only be one large spring in there.... Is there a second, smaller one as well??

one spring, I’m fixing to just rebuild it. Any idea on some good links, on how to rebuild it.
