Default 2001 Ram 1500 5.9L Stalls when idiling

I can start and run my truck but I need to keep a slight pressure on the throttle. I plow my yard and back my truck into it's parking spot and as soon as I let off the throttle it stalls. I had the crank sensor replaced a while back and it has acted this way since shortly after that. I didn't want to start replacing sensors until I got some advice from the forum members. TIA for any help offered

What brand crank sensor? Do you have a scanner that can see basic data?

I don't know the exact brand of sensor but I am 100% sure it wasn't a Mopar sensor. I don't have a scanner.

I have had battery problems in the past and found that this truck acts funny if the battery isn't 100%. I bought a used battery and I have to charge it if the truck sits for a week or more so I suspect that battery is marginal at best.

Many folks here have trouble with non-MOPAR crank sensors. Batteries can also cause problems with these trucks as they rely on electronics. Here is what I would do in your situation. Buy a new battery, Walmart actually sells good batteries. (Reference
before buying although Walmart was the top 3). See if it goes away if it doesn't you will need a scanner.

When was the last tune up done?

Did a complete tune up about a year ago. I only use this truck as a plow truck for my own yard. It has very few miles on it since the tune up.

Aluminum will oxidize which is not good. I would replace the battery and see what happens. Have it tested at the local auto parts store

I think that can be a throttle position sensor or an IAC valve. Maybe clean the IAC valve and the port in the throttle body.
