Default Why is my carpet wet?

So I went out to pick up some pizza, and I put the pizza box down on the floorboard on the passenger side of the truck, in front of the passenger seat. I noticed that my carpet was wet, sopping wet. It had rained earlier in the day. I don't have any leaks that I know of coming into the truck. Driver side was dry. Why would my carpet be wet?

I pulled the carpet back after I got home, I have some good rust forming under there. Any idea where the water might be coming from?

Truck is a 1997 Dodge Ram 1500 extended cab.

Water, or coolant?

If it really is just water, grab a buddy, hand them the artificial rainstorm, and have them rain on your truck, while you go looking for how it's getting in. Having the carpet, and possibly even the passenger seat.... out of the way for the exercise makes it easier.

Clearance lights on the top of the cab? If you do they could be leaking

Another thought could be bottom window seal or the cowl drain plugs are blocked

Gotcha. No lights on top of the cab. What's weird is, the carpet on the mat is completely dry, but under the mat, it's wet.

You might be onto something. I never run my heat or AC (they don't work), but the ceiling in my truck is missing, just a bare metal roof. I do get some condensation on the metal ceiling sometimes.
