I am looking at used parts and realized that the 360 comes with an egr valve port and w/o. I have the evap purge valve, but I am not sure if I need the actual valve.

3/8-18 NPTF. Drilling and tapping is no brainer. Correct size drill, make sure to drill it perpendicular, same with tapping. If the thread is tapered, don't go all the way with the tap, test the sensor occasionally so the thread don't get too loose.

I think there is, because manufacturers tend to use the same casting on different models. Cheaper to machine them needed ports for various sensors and stuff like that, than having different castings altogether. But to be sure, one needs to stuck finger in there and feel.
But there's also a possibility to drill and tap to the other side of the thermostat, if the wires have enough slack to reach there.

The intake is exactly the same, it's just one hole was NOT drilled there. It's still pretty much the same casting as the 96-97 versions. May or may not have the china wall in the center.....
