01 should only have one. It's located by the thermostat housing. (I think, might be over on the passenger side by the heater hose as well.) Two-wire sensor. They are known for deteriorating, and falling apart. Then the PCM thinks the engine is (much) colder than it really is, and runs it rich. But, the PCM uses that same sensor for the gauge in the dash..... So, if the gauge is telling you the engine is at the proper temp, it probably is.

So there is that one and than just the two upstream and down stream ones forward and aft of the cat
here's my issue I am burning an excessive amount of fuel in 68 km i burnt quater of a tank I recently did a mini tune-up change the spark plugs did a seafoam upper engine cleaner change the valve cover gaskets did a seafoam fuel additive which cleans injectors and rails and all that remove the catalytic converter and put on a cherry bomb exhaust still using the same Magnaflow mufflers and I don't know what else to do this fuel problem is ridiculous and I'm wondering if anybody has some ideas of what else I can do to try and fix this problem
