I tried hooking up my code reader and it wouldnt pick it up I figured it wasent communicating because of the can bus problem
Only scan tool that can do it is an OEM or High Dollar one. If I remember correctly to get the Cluster Codes just hold down the trip button and turn the key on
I think there's a good chance of that. NTK or Denso sensor only though. Skip Bosch, they tend to cause more problems than you are trying to solve.
I tried putting in a new denso o2 sensor and it seems like it didnt work aswell it ran the same rough idle no power and backfiring when I tried accelerating, might be something a little more hard to diagnose?
Getting any codes? Got a scanner that can read live data? Might wanna see what the various sensors think is going on, and see if those readings bear any resemblance to what you would expect. Check for pending codes as well.
