Did the truck originally have cruise control? Might wanna find the module, and see if the connector matches.

I bought it just for this project and drove it from Oklahoma to North Carolina and unfortunately it did NOT have cruise control :-( But if I could install it I would!

Ok I'm stood by my truck right now. 98 5.9 gasser. From the first branch I have one plug that goes to my under hood light, one goes to an 8 pin part attached to the wheel well, and then one goes under the truck and branches into these 2 connectors.

Then the second branch of the harness goes to washer reservoir and the brake system.

Alley, can you take a pic of the 8 pin part attached to the wheel well please? I think this is where I need to plug in my 14 pin connector, but after the frame swap whatever used to be on the wheel well is no longer there.

Thanks,

Cris

First one is the brake module connector, second one is the mystery part I don't know about (I think something to do with DRLs?), And the third is a loose connector I have hanging there.

I really appreciate the effort that all of you have gone to help me try to figure this out, at this point I think I'm out of luck right now. What really bothers me is that the connector looks like it was freshly pulled from something because the inside is spotlessly clean while everything on the outside is very dirty and dusty. So it makes me believe that it was plugged into something. But there is just simply nothing to plug it into, and there is nothing in my spare parts box that even remotely looks like something I could plug into. I think what I'll do is take it up to the Dodge dealership and see if they can identify it. Once I positively identify what it is I'll repost here to let everybody know what the heck it was! Thanks again everyone.

Sorry I'm late to the party, but I second AlleyCrawler in that this is connector C129. It carries the wiring for the back of the truck, rear lighting (see 8W-51) and trailer tow (8W-54). The reason some pins are not used is because the truck didn't have the full trailer wiring from the factory. Ask me how I know ... I had to extend the wiring from that connector to get the electric trailer brakes and permanent power to work. On my 2001 regular cab the connector sits on the driver side under the cab just where the firewall comes down, close to the body mount.
