ive done some searching but cant find an answer. i have a 95 1500 with a 46rh that needs replaced. the junkyard sold me the only transmission they have and it turns out its a 46re. is it possible to put the rh valve body and pan to convert to hydraulic or are the valve bodies completely different just trying to find a way around returning this transmission if i can

 

I believe you can make the RE to RH just by swapping the valvebodies (and probably the separator plate). But then there's a wiring harness. RH needs only three wires, whereas RE has some more, 8 IIRC, so the connector may be different size.

 

i know, for the rh in the truck the wires go straight up through the same hole as the re 8pin. just wasnt sure if both valve bodies fit both transmission

 

Nope. The RH has a mechanical governor, that the RE has no provision for. You need an RH transmission.
