37s
Welp I got all the upgrades done and 37s on and with 355s it doesn’t care the start is a tad slow but once past 30 it sneaks up in speed if ya don’t watch it and now the speedo is very of so how do I correct it my Jeep has a gear in the transfer case but the truck has nothing like that i could see. And some how truck still get like mid teens in mpg weird the little 318 that could

01 well I did everything possible to make trans stay cool and got a custom 8 inch lift and that’s basically it It has the np231 with 2.72 gears in it but no wires on the back side where a speedo gear is so I’m guessing a toner ring so a flashpac or something
Yep only way to correct the speedo is to use a tuner
Welp I guess I’ll just remember how much it’s off because I do plan on rehearing down the road just to keep low power offroad so I can be fuel efficient on long offroad trips so I’ll get one then. I got milestar atr tires they balanced great and are plenty for offroad in fl but these magnums got power because I had a bud with a f250 with 34s and the 5.4l that has higher power ratings and it was slower then a camel on a Tuesday, granted the truck weighed more but had 3.73s so I think that rumor that magnums were under rated is true
Rear wheel speed sensor reads the tone ring mounted to the diff carrier, behind the ring gear, so, changing gear ratio has zero effect on your speedometer. Just need to correct for the larger tires, and you are good to go.
