Holly makes throttle bodies. If you can read instructions you can add the external regulator if that turns out to be the problem

Yeah, I would start with having the alternator tested OFF the truck. Take it from there.

Problem is not the alternator, Alternator output is controlled by the pcm. First have the voltage checked at the battery(where you got the parts they should be able to test it for you). To see what code/s you have do the key dance...

Disconnected the battery lately? (aside from when it was changed....) Does the CEL come on when you try and start the truck?

I'm not sure what the CEL is but I was just told that it's my cap and rotor now my next question is how hard is that to change for somebody that is not mechanically inclined
