I won't forget No ! position at T D C
TDC #1 cylinder ON THE COMPRESSION STROKE! After you get this far remove the cap and see where the rotor is pointing. If memory serves me it should be pointing to the left(about parallel to the end of the block). If you can't position the body for the rotor to point to the mark the oil pump/distributor drive gear may be off.
